INMATE WORK CREW PROGRAM
The intent of the Inmate Work Crew Program has always been to benefit both our community and the inmates who will eventually transition back into society. The program allows us to provide necessary services to the county and address maintenance tasks throughout our community that may otherwise go unaddressed. Inmates participating in the program benefit from a sense of purpose, personal responsibility, and pride in a well-done job. Once they serve their time, it is in our best interest that they desire to become productive members of our community.
The Botetourt-Craig Regional Jail offers a variety of programs to assist inmates during their incarceration and prepare them for re-entry into society.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) / Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
These self-help support groups provide inmates struggling with addiction with a network of peers and a structured program for recovery.
Career Development and Release Transitioning: This program helps inmates develop job skills and prepare for the transition back into the workforce upon release.
Blue Ridge Behavioral Health
BrightView
This program provides outpatient addiction medicine services to inmates, likely to help them manage their addiction upon release.
This program focuses on employment and reducing recidivism by working with inmates during pre-release to ensure they are job-ready after release.
Pathway Home Total Action for Progress (TAP)
Church services are available throughout the week for inmates seeking spiritual guidance and support.
