INMATE VISITATION AND COMMUNICATIONS

1. Participation in video visitation is a privilege, not a right. Inmates and visitors are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times while on-site in the building or during a video visit. Appropriate attire and conduct is required.

2. Any behavior or action that a reasonable person would consider sexual, or provocative, as in revealing clothing (appropriate attire required), or any lewd act that would not be performed in public, will result in the termination of the visit.

3. Visitations must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. This can be done online at https://securustech.online/#/login

​

4. On-site visitations can be conducted for FREE, on-site in the main lobby of the Botetourt-Craig Public Safety Building, by reserving a visitation at least 24 hours in advance and can only be conducted on a specific day for the inmate’s assigned housing listed below. It is the inmate’s responsibility to inform their visitors of their assigned day for on-site visitations.

5. Video visitations are recorded, and subject to monitoring by the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office personnel or a designated agency. Your use of this video-visitation system constitutes consent to this recording and monitoring.

6. The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to deny, cancel, or terminate a video-visitation prior to, or during a video session based upon visitor or resident inmate misconduct. The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office also reserves the right to restrict visitors from participating in all future use of the service(s).
